Freedom Through Boundaries: Underwater House was developed alongside the Senior Honors Thesis which explores the possibilities for space to create mental and physical freedoms. Displayed at the Stern College Senior Art Exhibition, the project examines the potential for one to dwell in the otherwise uninhabitable realm of water. The small cabin that sits at water level is an illusion; it stands as the entryway to access a staircase that leads to the hidden home below. The relationship between upper and lower represents the transition from small to large, from bound to boundless, from impediment to creative and tangible liberation.
